Martyn's Law through the OSH Lens

This session was delivered at the NEBOSH Conference Glasgow in November 2025. The presentation discusses the Terrorism Protection of Premises Act (Martin's Law), which requires organisations open to the public to implement specific counter-terrorism measures.

There are different requirements for venues accommodating 200 or 800+ people. The speakers emphasises that occupational safety and health professionals are well-positioned to help organisations assess terrorism risks, develop mitigation strategies, and create a security culture through their existing skills in risk assessment, collaboration, and understanding organisational dynamics.
