This interactive session was filmed at Fire Safety Matters Live Manchester in October 2025. It was based on a real-life criminal prosecution of an independent fire risk assessor, who is alleged to have failed to undertake a suitable and sufficient fire risk assessment at his client’s new premises shortly after its construction.
Failures in passive fire safety control measures were found when the premises burnt down a few years later. The audience then acted as the jury to decide if the defendant was guilty or not guilty.
