Creating a high-impact learning environment

This webinar explores the concept of learning as a change in long-term memory, emphasising that performance in a task does not necessarily equate to learning, and that forgetting is a natural part of the learning process.

The presenter introduces key strategies like retrieval practice, spaced learning, and interleaving to help learners develop both storage strength and retrieval strength, ultimately supporting the transfer of knowledge into long-term memory through effective assessment and practice techniques.

This session was recorded at the NEBOSH Alumni Conference, which was part of Health and Safety Matters Live in Coventry on 4 June 2025.
